Exhibit A (2007) Review

Synopsis: The timely story of a normal family disintegrating under financial pressure, eventually driven to the unimaginable. We witness the terrifying events unfold through daughter Judith’s video camera, which subsequently becomes Exhibit A.

Quick Review: Exhibit A received a lot of praise from the horror community back when it was out. Unfortunately, what might have worked 7 years ago, feels unimpressive after so may entries in the found footage genre have seen the light of day.

With that said, it was refreshing to have a story exempt of ghosts and other typical found footage tropes and scare tactics.

Exhibit A lets the story slowly transitioning from a family drama to a family disaster.

The highlight of Exhibit A is definitely coming from the performances. All the characters look and behave like real ones so it is easy to get pulled into the story which makes everything happening so much more powerful.
